My Children’s Nativity Story script

As a poet who loves rhyme and rhythm, my Children’s Nativity Story is written entirely in rhyme, including the narration, and the speaking parts. Specifically what songs does it use?
I have used my own easily remembered words to the following popular tunes…
- Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star (ie, Angels’ song called “Glory to our God on High”)
- Jingle Bells (ie, Kings’ song called “Three Kings Came”)
- The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy (ie, Shepherds’ song called “Shepherd’s Calypso”. This can include a solo verse by a shepherd for an extra special touch, plus a chorus sung by angels)
Also included are a couple of songs already known to most children….
- Away in a Manger
- We Wish You a Merry Christmas
Finally, a brand new “Donkey’s Journey” song (WARNING – highly infectious tune) which is very simple to pick up, but hard to forget (sorry) and makes a change from the usual “Little Donkey”!
……”But we don’t have the music for all of those!”
No problems. The sheet music is included in the price.
……”Actually, we don’t even have a pianist!”
No problem. Many of my customers told me the same thing, so I have included free copies of the music midi files for you to download onto your own computer. These can be played through a computer (usually using windows media player).
……How long does the nativity play last?
The expected performance time is approximately 25 minutes.
……Can we reprint the script to give out for the children to learn their parts?
